Halloween

I know what you're thinking, "It's November...I thought Halloween was in October". Well, it is. October 31st to be exact. But, it rained (thunder storms) last week...on Halloween, so the embassy party was postponed. Instead, they had the party this week. After work, I put on my silly outfit and headed to the party. It was a lot of fun...Bill took pictures of all the kids in their costumes and I hung out with Rachael and Alex. For dinner, we had grilled burgers and hot dogs. It was yummy!

(I was dressed as a construction flagger, in case you can't tell)

My next few posts will be delayed because we're going away this weekend. We're going to spend the next 4 days in Paris! It should be fun to see the sights and we'll even spend a day at EuroDisney! Have a good weekend and a good Veteran's Day and I'll be back again next week!

Fish for Dinner

I read somewhere that you should eat fish once a week...its an easy way to eat healthier. Well, I don't quite make it once a week, but tonight was time for fish. I made Cheese-Crusted Flounder (although it wasn't very crusty), Broccoli Rice Au Gratin (I like Rice-a-Roni ...the San Francisco treat. Ding, ding.), and green beans. It was very tasty indeed!

Quesadillas

Tonight we had chicken quesadillas, spanish rice and corn. It was super yummy. The quesadillas were better than I've ever made before. Everything was very tasty!

Soups On

For dinner tonight, we had lentils, garlic-herb pita chips, and broccoli. It was yummy. I wasn't sure about the pita chips - but they turned out great. It was good for dipping in the soup...it would probably be good with other dips too! Mmmmm....

Dinner

Tonight I was tired and I didn't feel like making anything intricate,
so we had Hot Dogs and Baked Beans, with a Tomato Salad.

Day 2

Tonight's menu: Sweet & Sour Chicken and mixed vegetables. It was pretty good. We both ate way too much so there was no room for dessert. Good thing I didn't make dessert!

30 Days of Food

Welcome to the first day of my "30 Days of Food". I am planning to post a picture of what I eat for dinner every night for the entire month of November. That's right--30 days of gourmet cuisine...well, maybe not, but it will be 30 days of edible foodstuff. I know its not very thrilling, but its a fun project for me. It will also help me update my blog more regularly, which is a bonus for anyone out there who is paying attention!

The first dinner was kind of special. Two years ago today, Bill and I had our first date. The first restaurant we ate at together was Burger King. Of course, anyone who knows me, knows that I'm a McDonald's girl all the way, but Burger King was closer and more convenient two years ago so that's where we started. To celebrate, we returned to the very same Burger King for dinner tonight. I had a Double Cheeseburger and Bill had a Whopper. Delicious!

Thanks for reading as I embark on my exciting adventure in eating! I wish you an equally appetizing dinner!
